Friendship…its true meaning

Having a friend is like possessing the greatest treasure obtained from the depths of the earth. Friendship is tender and fragile, and its life depends on how you handle it.

A true friend is someone who cares about you, is loyal to you and most importantly, accepts you for who you really are. Friendships have great advantages.. you have a companion, a confidant and someone to keep you company all the time.

However, all good things come with the bad.. Sometimes, arguments break out, misunderstandings happen, prides are hurt and friendships break.

Minds are full of thought, wild with rage, drowned in sorrow and anxiety, and eventually we can’t take it anymore.

Hearts break, trusts falter and, for a while, life seems empty.. but, we must get over it and move on. There are plenty of friends waiting for us in the world, we just haven’t met them yet.

After all, brothers and best friends, the founders of Rome, Romulus and Remus ended up killing one another because they were blinded by pride and were power hungry..

It’s funny how just a few emotions can bring about such drastic changes in people, and turn friend into foes..

I feel that true friendship is forever, come what may, not just leaving someone behind after a long time as if they were an old, worn out toy about to be thrown away.

Friendship is precious, treasure it while you can, before it’s too late.
